The Canadian economy and the C$ is very significant to all of us who choose to live in this great land, but it is very insignificant to most of the world.
Another fact is that many parts of the world think we are a banana republic politically. Between all the different levels of gov't, different rules and laws for different languages, skin colour, religious beliefs, they are not wrong on the banana republic part. Having said all that, would I want to live anywhere else? No

Uh? On what planet are you living? Most places I travel to don't look at Canada in that way at all. But rather respect Canada as a reasonably stable and well-governed environment. And, these days, as a good place where to invest.
Of course, there is also Alberta. But Alberta hardly qualifies as "most of the world," does it?
