I swear I read something somewhat recently regarding priority security at YVR, but it doesn't seem to be in this thread... so just double checking... priority security at YVR C gates is back up and running now?
Do we still get the green stickers from priority checkin?

I seem to recall pre-covid that Nexus security at YVR closed at 6pm, at least on Sundays, but this might have been terminal D and not C.

I walked straight out of the glass doors and upstairs to the bridge to the Skytrain so didn't see the security lines from the outside..
Left around 2030 and you won't need to worry about Priority security then, every lane was quiet.

At YVR Dom security right now and its a zoo. No priority line, only Nexus. Whats going on at almost 9 PM?
Air Canada priority checking was completely overwhelmed, longest line I have ever seen there.

Maybe they close the D gates checkpoints?
YVR-ICN-PVG, and YVR-ICN-HKG both leave at nighttime now!

I think a portion of the chaos at YVR the last few days is the relatively new requirement to upload vaccine certificates being horribly flawed (see post in other thread). If you can't get it to work online then option 2 is an agent at the airport. When I arrived at 7:35am Sunday morning the priority line was at least a dozen people deep, so I just opted for self bag tag + drop as I had about 5 minutes to cutoff. (Seems I cannot adapt to 1 hour cutoff for bags, I'm pre-programed for a 45min baggage cutoff.)

Im flying AA First Class YVR - DFW - LHR in a few weeks time. I have no Trusted Traveler status of any sort. I read elsewhere that this would enable me to use the priority Nexus Lane but is that actually the case? If so does it happen automatically or do I need my boarding pass stamped etc? Its my first time flying from YVR..

Had anyone else experienced the boarding pass checker at the yvr domestic, the westjet side one which also happens to be the only domestic security open sometimes, tell priority passengers to get in the regular line?
It's happened several times now where we've approached the priority line only to right away be told to get in the regular line, without them even looking at our boarding passes.
The most egregious instance was when I (white woman) was allowed to walk straight into the priority queue, but my husband (shlubby Asian man) who was immediately behind me got told "that line is for nexus only" and redirected into the regular line. First of all, he has nexus, second of all it doesn't matter because PRIORITY SECURITY is printed right there on his boarding pass.
But it just keeps happening where we try to use that line, get shut down, and then have to argue our case ("just look at our boarding passes"). As a one off thing it's an odd experience and a story about the unconscious bias of the BP checker, but it just keeps happening that I almost assume YVR might have an internal memo or something to try and reduce the number of people using the priority line.
Like, am I doing something wrong? Or is this on YVR?
