Waterloo ONT travel tips?
I'll be in the Waterloo ONT area for a few days in September and would appreciate any tips from locals about good places to eat and suggestions for leisure activities.
Looks like biking might be a good possibility if I can find a way to rent a bike.
Flying into YXU and driving up to the Waterloo area.
Thanks for any information!

There are places to rent a bike.
I recommend the Elora Gorge, but there are some nice river trails as well. about 20 mins drive away is the Niagara Escarpment for beautiful hiking/views etc.
Theres a big mennonite farmers market on Sat and Tues mornings that has a lot there.
Lots of fantastic restaurants. Not to far from the airport is a place called L'Arabesque, with fantastic lebanese food. Theres good sushi too at a place called Ye's. Get your coffee from Cafe O. I guess recommendations depend on what you like but Waterloo/Guelph has no shortage of good restaurants.

I live in Waterloo, honestly there aren't that many choices (for long term)
but you should be okay for few days
Really depends on your taste - Chinese, Western, Japanese, etc..?

No first hand experience, but I've heard the www.kingstreettrio.com is really good.

Try the Waterlot in New Hamburg - an excellent restaurant in a lovely location. It's also a short drive to Stratford with its great theatre festival and many fine restaurants that cater to festival patrons.
