Nexus interview

I searched a couple of threads, and can´t find the answer to this. I have been accepted for Nexus, and have an interview at YVR this week. How long will the interview take, and will I walk out of it with my card. Thanks

Had my interview last month.. It was so easy.. Both the US CBP agents and CBSA were extremely courteous, polite, and nice.

The whole process took ten minutes.. The iris scans were taken, they asked me why I wanted to join Nexus, and they took fingerprints.

Card came in the mail about a week later.

Glad to hear that!!!

Out of all my experiences with govt officials, the Nexus CBP and CBSA officers were a model of politeness and professionalism.

i applied on line, and if my memory is correct, it was about two weeks to approve the application. You are then directed to schedule an interview. If you go to that link, you will see that the wait times greatly vary depending on locations. That will really determine how much more than two weeks that it wil take.

In my case, it only took a week and a half (7 bus. days to be exact).

The interview waiting time is very high at YYZ... Not sure about other airports. I actually got lucky and had it a week later, because somebody canceled, otherwise I would have waited until June for an interview.

My next trip is 3 June so likely not enough time, though I am stationary over the summer, so far , so will probably tackle the whole process at that time. Thanks!

My son was in & out in 15 minutes. I hate to say this, but he observed that the officials conducting the NEXUS interview were Canadians!

Seems to take much longer now?

I applied back in July and my status is still 'pending review'. I guess the wait time is much longer now? I am not sure if I can get the card before my trip in November now

If it's still pending review after four weeks, you can write to the CBP Ombudsman.

It's pretty unusual for the application to be pending review for a month (unless the applications skyrocketed)

Is there an email address to write to?

It will be 4 weeks on next Wednesday.. . I have signed up for both myself and my husband, and my two kids all seperately ....all four of us are still pending review . From what I have been reading here it seems pretty speedy... so wonder what is going on with our applications or if there is a huge backlog they are working on...
