Tim's at YYZ T1?

On Monday I will be flying ARN-FRA-YYZ-EWR. Two questions:

- I have never been to Tim Horton's, and while I'm transiting I would like to enjoy a few of the maple glaze donuts I've been hearing about. Is there a Tim's at T1 in YYZ (note I'm transfering international-transborder) and where should I look for it?

- I'm a tad worried about IRROPS given I'm flying through FRA and YYZ, not the best airports to fly through in December. How does AC handle weather-related interruptions, and will they put me up in a hotel if I end up spending the night? (FRA-YYZ is one of the last transatlantic flights out of FRA for the day and I'm connecting to the last YYZ-EWR flight.)

Your not missing much having not tried Tim's, but yes there is a Tim's in all areas of T1. Pearson's website has a list of shops.

As for weather, no they don't have to put you in a hotel for a weather delay. Hence the pictures a few Xmas's ago of people at YVR airport spending the night due to weather delays. Not sure how weather delays would work for FRA as EU regulations apply.

There is a Tim's in the Transborder area. If not mistaken it is in the vicinity of Gate 167/168.

Tims?

Oh for the love of...

I don't undertand the fascination with Tim Ho's and Canadians. It's really not that great....

Shall we take bets on how many pages this thread is going to be now, all on the relative tastiness of Tim's? You don't know what a can of worms you may have just opened up.

As to your other, and maybe more important, question, although I don't believe AC has any obligation to provide accommodation for a weather-related missed last flight, I know from experience that sometimes they do. Are you *G or travelling in J?

You aren't missing much with Tim Hortons. Kripsy Kreme is much better. I would recomend finding a gift shop that has maple leaf sandwich cookies and buying those instead or seeing if there is a second cup coffee shop in the airport.

Depends upon your tastes. Krispy Kreme is designed for the US market and is quite a bit sweeter and has more fat than a Tims doughnut. KK failed rather quickly in Canada.

Tims is OK, but not as good as when they were baked instore.

krispy kreme has been a failure in canada.....i believe most of their stores are closed..... perhaps it was closed due to a violation to the Canadian Patroit Act

they must have complied to the Canadian Patrotic Act by printing maple leaves on their donuts.....

Tim Hortons freezes the donut dough and then cooks it. You are not eating freshly made product. I'll bet it's full of preservatives and other chemicals in order for it to survive freezing, defrosting, baking, and then shipping to the stores with a shelf life built in...

KK is much better. Nothing like a hot KK glazed donought coming right off the belt

Tim's does have more flavors though, but unfortunately they don't serve anyt fresh hot doughts.
