No just our health care budget cannot sustain KK's.

Tim's does have more flavors though, but unfortunately they don't serve anyt fresh hot doughts.
just pulling your leg.... we have this patriotic thing going on...... we condemn Canadians using US airports and we want to prohibit foreign commercial airlines from invading our airspace and diluting our national carrier's revenue (which is privately owned).

I am sure our government will use KK donuts to raise health care taxes again, just like they do for other things!

LOL. Well in my area Tim Hortons has become popular. They have opened up a lot of stores here (I am in the US) in the past decade. I really wish second cup would start opening up stores in the US, I LOVE their frozen hot chocolate

I don't entirely 'get' the Tim's thing, but it is handy to know you can find one almost anywhere (such as off the 401 when every blinking service centre was closed for 'improvements'! You knew you could get off at any of the exits, and find a Tim's wherever there was signs of life )

Our working theory is that they line the coffee cups with an addictive substance (heroin perhaps) to explain the otherwise inexplainable liking for double doubles!

The other one I don't get at all, is Swiss Chalet! My brother's Canadian ex had cravings, and used to go into YYZ departures as soon as she arrived back in Canada to get her Swiss Chalet fix!

Besides the fact that Timmy's wins hands down!

I thought I'd join the discussion regarding irops and duties of care. In FRA Regulation 261/2004 will apply and the airline has a duty of care to its passengers regardless if it's a European carrier or not. There is a force majeure clause in this regulations that airlines (Famously KLM) wrongly invoke. Airlines will argue that because of the weather they don't have to provide you with accommodation, meals or phone calls, however, they are wrong! The force majeure clause only relates to the additional monetary compensation that the airlines have to pay in case of delays or cancellations. All other provisions apply!

That doesn't mean that the airlines will pay it upfront. They should, but they don't. Be prepared to fork over some cash and then battle the airlines to get it back. It's easier to do so with a EU carrier than it is to do with a non EU carrier, but there are agencies that will act on your behalf and take a cut of the reimbursement.

Be firm and know your rights! I hope you have time to enjoy Tim's.

I really just want to go for the experience, having only been to Canada once (and I didn't leave YUL, so it doesn't really count).

Darn it. But overall, would you say that AC treats its pax well when it comes to irrops? I've heard my fair share of horror stories over on the CO forum.

IROPS really depends.... at the terminal it can be chaotic when people jump over one another to get seats on the next flight..... i usually head to the phone booth and call the E line..... explain IROPS and want a flight change.... then wait for people to finish fighting and grab a replacement BP (or go back out to the check in counter and issue a new one).

Thats junk food for u

What if the flight landed in YYZ, but than the connecting flight was delayed/cancelled due to weather? I take it EU regulations wont reach that far?

That's why I specified that it would apply in FRA in the first sentence.

You're right. It won't apply if that flight is delayed, unless it is an EU carrier, which AC is not.

Last time I drove by it, the one on Mavis in Mississauga (on the same complex lot with Cdn Tire, Staples, Future Shop) is still around.

I know this thread is fairly old, but it's making me crave a Tim Horton's Iced Capp. The easiest franchise for me to get to is in Providence. I have no time to go to Providence.
