I don't entirely 'get' the Tim's thing, but it is handy to know you can find one almost anywhere (such as off the 401 when every blinking service centre was closed for 'improvements'! You knew you could get off at any of the exits, and find a Tim's wherever there was signs of life )

Our working theory is that they line the coffee cups with an addictive substance (heroin perhaps) to explain the otherwise inexplainable liking for double doubles!

The other one I don't get at all, is Swiss Chalet! My brother's Canadian ex had cravings, and used to go into YYZ departures as soon as she arrived back in Canada to get her Swiss Chalet fix!
