Miya, first - welcome to FT!

Second, you might want to do a search (search icon you can click on is in every forum) in both California & also SanFrancisco forums, which sounds like the nearest area to you. You should get lots of good info. Another idea is to post on Travelbuzz forum.

Third, you need to provide more information so we can help you. If it's in your 'backyard' so to speak, do you need us to give you ideas? Wouldn't you already know? Or are you new to the area?

Besides FT, have you looked at local guide books available at book stores & also your local library?

Have a great holiday! Cheers.

If you have AAA membership, you can request free California tour book from their website.
