Avoid long TSA lines at OAK

This has surely been posted before, but in case you're not that familiar with the Oakland Airport, here's a security line tip. There are two terminals at OAK, unsurprisingly numbered 1 and 2. You can go through security at either terminal and walk to the other.

On Saturday, June 19th, I was flying on JetBlue out of terminal 1. The security line was very long -- wrapping all the way into the baggage claim area. It looked like a 30-40 minute wait. I walked over to terminal 2 (Soutwest gates). Sure enough, it had a very short security line. In about ten minutes, I was past security and in terminal 1.

OAK really should alert passengers to this option. Until they do, however, check the other security line at OAK if your terminal has a long line.
