This forum is still within its first year of existence and it’s been a great resource for those of us out there who are into traveling within the budget traveler’s lifestyle whether its for backpacking around South East Asia or driving cross-country in the US over the summer.

The purpose of this forum is to Enjoy discussing low-cost travel (hostels, pensiones, camping, bus and train transport, LCCs, charter flights, inexpensive restaurants, etc.)

Recently, we’ve been getting more & more of the “Help me find a fare from ABC to XYZ from this date to that date” type threads. In the future, these kinds of threads will be closed or deleted without warning. Any threads that are already existing prior to this announcement being made will be allowed to remain, however future threads will be closed or deleted as needed.

We welcome posts regarding discussion on how to best get from point A to point B – however, we will no longer allow threads requesting fare assistance. FlyerTalk is NOT a travel agency service and although there are great number of helpful members, this forum is not the appropriate place to ask for fare finding assistance. If you need help finding fare information, please use the tools & resources that area available online (there’s information in the Mileage Run Tools thread stuck at the top of the Mileage Run forum that you can use, but please be advised, that’s not the place to ask for fare assistance either) or consult a travel agent. There are no forums on FlyerTalk that are dedicated to helping people find fares for their business or personal trips.
