Anyone have any advice on my situation (or dealt with it in the past)?

I currently have a reservation for a car over Labor day weekend: pickup on 9/1 and drop-off on 9/4 (reservation was made on 8/10). This reservation was made through a Budget reservations agent. Today, when checking rates and discount codes online, I found that the location is closed on my drop-off date. I called the reservations number and was told that I could drop-off at the airport, or drop-off the next day but the charge would be ~double what my current price is. I decided to do nothing and my reservation was kept as-is. What options do I have? Paying double is not really an option. Do I have any real leverage if there are problems upon pick-up? What would you recommend I do about returning the car as the location will certainly be closed all day on my return date?

Not really. If the location is closed, it is closed.

1. Check to see if they have a Drop Box for returns when they are closed. 2. Check with another rental car company.
