Budget is loosing it!
What is going on with Budget lately? Their web site is almost impossible to use, it takes forever to have the points credited and the staff all have issues.

And, as of last week, rates were cheaper using no discount codes.......go figure.
Just got back from LAX where I rented an economy car since it was for only a couple of hours. To my surprise and dismay, got a brand new vehicle - a Chevy Cavalier, but with no power windows or locks. It reminded me of Avis.....
Asked the staff person on the way out when did they start using Chevy's?
The reply, "we just got em in. First cars to arrive since we got bought by Avis......."

Last week in PHX I had reserved my typical SUV, they were out of them and the counter person was nice enough to upgrade me into a Excursion. It was like driving a school bus! I would not own one of these if it were given to me. To add insult to injury, when I went to fill it up it cost over $90.00 for a 2.5-day rental around town. My accounting department has already called me to ask how I spent $90.00 in gas at on station.
I guess it was the thought that counts....

I am happy to say that after months of crap, budget is almost back to normal.
My last 2 reservations booked over the net went very smoothly.
The only problem now is that I have found another car rental company who offer an Elite status tier for members whith over 10 rentals. And even give points!
My Budget goal was to get enough points for free a premium rental car for 7 days. I have now made it and will be switching over.
I rent 3 vehicles a week and feel that I should be treated in a diffent fashion as the traveler who rents maybe 4-6 cars a year.
See Ya Budget, it's been a fun 11 years!
