I would like to think 1 share would be enough - dividend isn't depending on the amount of shares you hold. I've (and others as reported here) received dividend and have 200 shares.

Hi,

For a dividend it is 1 share.

For a shareholding of 250 shares you would get 250*5p per share dividend or £12.50

I got about 3 extra shares for my shareholding of less than 200 ( automatic dividend reinvestment)

Regards

TBS

1 share would be enough for the dividend, the 200 is for the shareholder discount, I got £50 because I bought 1000 shares and sold 800 a few weeks later for the price of 1000 so I got the 200 for "free"

Banked my £10 cheque this morning. I cannot complain about it being my first dividend though, I only paid £1 per share for my 200 and it has saved me quite a lot of money over the years.^
