OT: BAA Security Officer Quiz
It has been brought to my attention that somebody has set up a BAA Security Officer quiz over on Facebook.
Makes for an interesting read and, if you're bored, you could go through and spot all of the spelling mistakes.
I would like to add:
You are approached by an airport employee, whilst you are operating the staff entrance to the departure lounge. The member of staff hands you their ID card but you have doubts that the photo shown on the ID card matches the person presenting it to you. DO YOU:
Refuse the member of staff admission to the departure lounge
Call for a colleague to take over your post while you escort the employee back to their employer to seek their reassurance
Don't mention anything and just let them through anyway
Hand over a piece of paper instructing the employee that they should go and get their ID reissued sometime in the near future. Once in receipt of that piece of paper, they are no longer a security threat (despite questionable ID) and may be granted access to the restricted area

When confronted with an irate Italian passenger who says "I was allowed more than 2 bags comeing from milan" ..DO YOUTell them "This aint Italy mate"
Tell them you aint in italy now Sir
Sing Shut upa yer face in there face
Tell them it aint you fault and beg for there forgivness
Kindly explain to them that these are the rules that have been set down by the DFT & we would appreciate there understanding in this matter
Passenger has liquid over 100m in Security search and starts Crying ...DO YOU
Ask her calm down and try and remedy the situation with Different options available to you.
Whistle under your breath"always look on the bright side of life" and bid them good day
Call a Supervisor/Manager and pass the problem to them
Just take the items,dump them in the bin and bid them good day
Ask them if they saw all the signs landside and to pull them selves together"its only a Perfume"
Passenger speaks no English and needs to Find Gate 53 ...DO YOU
Give correct & concise directions useing all the skills that you have been taught
Take them to the gate your self, leaving your work colleagues in the lurch all waiting for you to come back before they can self tea again
Give them detailed directions by drawing a diagram and listing every shop on the way
Tell them im beyond this " I do security and nothing else ask" direct them to a shop
Wave your hands frantically
You find a Wallet/Purse on the concourse ...DO YOU
Go through the wallet/purse and try and find a clue to the persons identity
Hand it in to your Supervisor/Manager asap
Skip around singing "im in the money im in the money"
Runaround like a headless chicken looking for the owner
Ask everybody around you and in the dwelling zone if this is there wallet/purse
An unattended Bag Has been left in the toilets ...DO YOU
Put tensa barriers around the bag and tell passengers to move on as there is nothing to see here
Call for a CSDA/CSDM
Key the mic on your radio while looking at the bag and takeing the oppertunity to sing the first few lines of "papas got a brand new pig bag"
Knock on every cubicle door then wait for the passenger to pick it up so you can tell them about the security threat they have just caused
Run out of the terminal building pushing the fire alarms as he/she goes
Tell them you aint in italy now Sir
