My Cirrus SR22 costs me £180 an hour to operate and is comfortable and luxurious enough to offer an air-taxi service, plus has the range. Not sure if there are any air-taxi operators using the SR22 in Europe (there are a couple in the US however) given it is an SEP. However, it certainly doesn't compare to a private jet!

To be honest I wasn't trying to be flash by using a private jet. i just wanted a flight that suited me, i.e. left from a local airport and that i didn't have to turn up 2 hours early for.

£180 / hr seems pretty cheap for that plane Morgo. I had a quick look on the Cirrus website and it looks like a nice little plane. I wouldn't have thought it had such a long range. What do you use it for leisure, holidays, business?

I purely use it for leisure. It's perfect for quick trips over to the continent (a rather cliched visit in private pilots land, but do love to spend the day in Le Touquet, which is a quick 20m flight from Shoreham where the aircraft is). The range is 1000Nm, so should just about make Finland (not looked at the map to calc distance though!).
