Heads up for BA pax to TLV (29/11)
Just a heads up for any BA pax heading to TLV on the night flight or tomorrow AM flight. It looks likely that a strike will be in place by 5am tomorrow morning (29th), the labour unions are in a meeting as we speak...but generally these things fail 80% of the time.
Basically your plane will land (if not heavily delayed) but you baggage will likely sit in the airport for 24 hours.
Just a heads up.

OK, well it's OFFICIAL - TLV is now closed.
"....Ben-Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv is closed shutting down at 6:00am as the Histadrut (Unions) national labor federation launched its latest public sector strike.
All outgoing and incoming flights have been canceled, with some planes leaving without passengers.
Anyone arriving at the airport one will quickly realize there is no service and passengers are stranded. The strike is open-ended, airport officials report."

This just popped up in one of the news reports about the TLV airport strike!
....."British airways had submitted a special request to authorize take-off. BA received permission to allow a flight crew that had overslept to fly home, but the company then tried to allow passengers onto the flight as well - and permission to take off was then rescinded by the strikers."

Every airline has it's issues but the topic of the strike in a certain airport is the same on all matters. IMHO, A central thread is a better idea.
