PS: Since you guys travel so much are you not worried that your wives get lonely sometimes and get tempted to stray?
Just a thought.

Global Marketing Manager in the Chemical & Pharma industry. Originally started in the IT area, much better odds of flying at a lower level!
Everything over 4hrs is in J. Do a lot of rail travel though... that is not fun.
p.s. mishkira you are very much not alone in your opinon. alex0683de if you like flying s-haul, stick with mgt consulting however if you fancy l-haul then consider a business more Global with fewer local offices, and high margins!

International Porn Star - you may remember me from such films as ...
nope IT for me too - just a fish in the great ocean of IT people here - in fact I'm probably more like the plankton compared to the experts on here

How do you get all of that on leisure travel?
Through comps?

a grad programme for a big company is not a bad way forward. was on one of those myself not to long ago.
key to travel is being "the boss" in some form or shape. some (only some) of my travel is simply because the "rule" is pretty much that if "overseas" travel is required, it's "the boss" who goes rather than the actual "worker". doesnt matter that the client may deal with the "worker" on a daily basis and only gets a letter from me twice a year......
funny how "senior management" always support "the troops" when it involves travel........

I had never visited this area of FT. Previously only ever visited the Miles&Points section.

Lawyer. But then it shouldn't be your first choice for travel as most lawyers spend 99% of their time in their office. I'm just one of the ones who is outside their office 80% of the time.
