Tax anomalies for online award booking
I have just booked an award through the EU EC. As online booking is now possible since 1st July, I thought I would try it.
It offered the relevant flight and quoted taxes of 362.03 Euros
As I had only recently booked the same flight for diffeerent dates over the phone (pre 1st July) and paid taxes of approx 25 Euros, I rang the EC.
They booked the flights for me with taxes of only 3.63 Euros. This is 250 less than the taxes quoted online.
Is this a common issue ??
