UK Domestic Double Airmiles Offer

I haven't seen this elsewhere, so please forgive me if it is a double post:

BA are offering UK Exec Club Members double Airmiles on UK Domestic services until December 31st 1999.

Regards,
Nick

Is this really Merry - being humble and asking forgiveness??

Nick - there's no need for that. Humility does not become you....

Ok Babs, scrub the humility and forgiveness kick... read "I haven't the time and can't be bothered to check if someone else has posted this already and I don't want one of those nasty 'this has already been posted at forum hdjsfk83uye.html' messages".

Is that more in the style to which you have become accustonmed?

Nick

While I am here... Rudi, what is going on in Zurich at the moment, there isn't a single seat available from London to Zurich tomorrow.

The only way I could get a couple of seats was the the sheer generosity and superior customer service skills of BA's new improved and on-target staff.

By the way, I am booked at the Ox in Zug at the moment, do you know if the Park Hotel is better?

It's the Swiss Indoor Tennis Championships in Basel I would guess.

I'm having the same problem with hotels.....

Sorry - I have no personal experience of the Park.

And I would like to have the personal experience of meeting Merry (at the Ox?). Any time this time?

The ATP tour in Basel is no problem in Zurich - but may be the WTA tournament starting today in Zurich is more of an influence - or may be, that just all people trying to visit me make our sky so crowded?

Weekend LHR-ZRH flights are often crowded - Fridays to LHR, Sundays to ZRH, due to the phenomenal number of consultants doing the commute. (Lots of Swiss banks have engaged British/neutral consultants for sensitive projects...)

Nick, it's always nice when you can post.

Understood that you and all of us are busy but at least for the cats and me you are not far from our thoughts.

Thanks for this tip and I hope several of the Flyertalkers can benefit from it.

Please post when you can soon. MEOW!

Rudi: I have changed my reservation to the Park Hotel, Zug, for tonight, so I will let you know what it is like.

I like the Ox as it is close to town, but the rooms are crummy.

There is no chance for a meet I'm affraid, I have dinner tonight with one of the consultant people Bab's is always on about and then I am on SR 886 Zurich - Brussels tomorrow afternoon.

But I will be back in Zug another couple of times this month, so who knows

Nick

Rudi, now that BA have pulled out of Basel and are only left with Codeshare on Crossair I think you will find that the knock-on effect to Zurich is definitely at work here....

Rudi, The Park Hotel was OK, but I decided to have dinner at the Ox instead.

I am back to Zurich on Monday 18th - LX 865 from Birmingham, but am not leaving the airport as I only have a short meeting and then need to fly out to Frankfurt on LH 3727.

Then the following Monday 25th (on the same flight with CrossAir).

On Tuesday the 26th I am having lunch at the Restaurant Lowen in Steinhausen and dinner at the Restaurant Post at Rifferswil.

Overnight on the 25th at the Ox (City Hotel Ochsen, Zug) and 26th at the Zurich Airport Hilton.

Do you have a comment on either of the restaurants?

Thanks,
Nick
