How flexible is BA to tag bags to connection only

Hi,

I searched the history, but couldn't find a clear answer for Heathrow. Wondering if others have done this through LHR.

Looking to book YYZ-LHR-CDG for the Mrs and I, and one of the routes has a 10 hour layover in London, as such I was wanting to drop some baggage off at family members and not have to lug bags to CDG.

Only planning on spending 3-4 days in Paris, before taking the Eurostar back to London, where we will be for a week or so for a wedding. The LHR-CDG leg would likely be carry-on or a single checked bag.

How flexible would be BA be to tag checked bags to just LHR rather then through to CDG?

Unless LHR-CDG is an overnight connection, unfortunately you can't rely on BA put bags as far as London only. Yes, an individual agent may say "sure, no problem", but if they refuse you have zero come back. That said, if that happens, you can then go to baggage reclaim in LHR and get the BA staff there to call the bags out of the automated warehouse - which could take an hour or so.

Thanks for this. The 10 hour layover in LHR is not an overnight. Would arrive on BA92 at 6:30am and then take BA316 at 4:00pm.
