Impressive. Would love to try this one year. I’d have to throw in the odd LH though.

I prostrate myself to your greatness, Sir!

Thanks to the BA Holidays deal, we're on course to a magnificent 1560 by next May ... renewing our humble Goldness for another year! it helped to have an overnight message today inviting us to stay in PHX again early next year!

Since becoming GGL, we have flown to SCL and have other LH coming up, they were just not part of my plan to get there (also 2021 was crap for LH)

Great job and I appreciate the breakdown of how it was done.

I was concentrating on making GfL this year and made GGL for the first time by chance as I wasn’t even thinking about it. I have a TPs coming to renew GGL but I don’t think I’ll be going out of my way to renew again, especially at the full rate.

My plan, after dedicating myself to BA for so many years is to see what life is like on other airlines in their premium cabins, price and timings fitting into my plans of course.

You have plenty of more premium airlines to choose from (especially if going east)

Ah, the hidden costs. Like our intended PHX trip … £2k for 2 weeks with a medium SUV! Same as the per capita CW flights!!

The important thing is that you enjoyed it and it scratched an itch ! Life’s too short not to have some fun , you can’t put TP/£ on that . Well done and enjoy!

Not that high

for the BAH trips, included

The LHR trips I stayed at my parents in Berkshire

The TP runs that didn't have included Hotels were - Bucharest, Warsaw, Prague and Malta x 2.

Malta was £40 a time (local 4 star hotel), Bucharest £50, Prague £80 and Warsaw was 3 nights at £70 a night (all Hilton)

so total was £420.

That makes the TP to £1.78

Brilliant - i had a crazy year where a combination of work, hols and TP runs (with 210 transcon USA) and i got over the 5000 hurdle. Hitting 3000 each year after needs a bit of planning - but it is definitely worth it for a family of 5! Jokers are magic! and 241 / GUF2 work great too. Well done and good luck next year!

Impressive.

The backbone of my most recent renewal was 5 DUB-PHX return (580 TP for around $2000 each including a positioning trip per journey, excluding hotels), plus a handful of other more expensive journeys.

Factoring in hotels wouldn’t really be a fair comparison as these were 2-4 week journeys.

Now if you factor in the amount of time rebooking things after cancellations, I’ll just say it was a good thing these were necessary trips.

You might want to consider the amazing TP runs the US as to offer, there are often sub $300 runs that yield 200 odd TP.
