...and makes every approach sound like a potential crash is just seconds away. Just now he shouted, "SINK RATE, SINK RATE" at a plane coming in that landed perfectly OK. Next one was a rapid and loud shout out of, "TOO LOW, TOO LOW" - and another safely landed.

Depends entirely on Flight Duty Period available to them. I’d wager as it’s only a two crew flight they’d be out of hours even with the use of ‘commander’s discretion’ to extend. For their report time I think from memory they’d only have 11:00 to play with so they’d be up against it, but it might be doable.
Otherwise they’ll need to fly out a whole new crew.
