The TAP flight from LIS is diverted to CDG (well, Paris anyway). So why would the BA from ORD go all the way to Geneva?

The 296 has opted for Zurich instead of Geneva.

My goodness - Big Jets are getting viewing figures that Sky would be proud of. Nearly 90,000 viewers.

In this scenario would a crew be flown to Zurich on next flight to bring this back today ?

Talk about a moronic and inane OTT shouting session, does he even know what he is talking about?
Well don't watch it then!

Depends entirely on Flight Duty Period available to them. I’d wager as it’s only a two crew flight they’d be out of hours even with the use of ‘commander’s discretion’ to extend. For their report time I think from memory they’d only have 11:00 to play with so they’d be up against it, but it might be doable.

Otherwise they’ll need to fly out a whole new crew.

I am two hours in and just watching the a380 go around too.

Sunny and warm in Malaga currently and genuinely impressed with the skill of the guys/girls landing these planes...
