Cancellation Fees
I've booked BJV and GIB at the end of July. Less likely I will take those flights due to a change of plans. I used avios for the bookings and paid the maximum avios amount. If I cancel I will get the full avios but have to pay a £35 cancellation fee for each booking. However, since I only paid £3 in taxes towards the flight will the booking agent be asking for my credit card to get the extra £32 for the cancellation or might they just let it be? Thanks

No, so long as you do it in the first instance then you are maxed at the cash you paid in. You can go for an FTV to keep 100% of the transaction, which you should do if you will use the FTV before April 2023, but if you then change your mind and want to change the FTV back to Avios, then there is a £35 hostage fee.
