BAEC joining the trolling

Just got an email from BAEC with teh subject as: "Collect Avios with John Lewis & Partners and more"
In light of recent events, I don't think that that is a coincidence

The Prime Minister's current squeeze spent a huge amount of money, of dubious origin, replacing what she described disparagingly as the "John Lewis" decor in No. 10 with vile, tasteless tat.

But I really do think that this is a coincidence, and trying to establish a link is possibly a step too far.

I have to say the same thought occurred to me when I got the email. I'm far too much of a cheapskate to buy from JL anyway, much less wherever Simmonds likes to shop.

I've got a JL 5 minutes walk away, and yet my house is full of stuff from Dunelm. Not sure what Carrie would make of that. A bonfire possibly...

Funnily enough, when I saw the photos of Johnson’s newly decorated flat, I thought it looked a bit like the CCR tbh...

And I know that BA likes to boast about the exclusive nature of the fabrics and chairs etc, rather than having more hard wearing and practical stuff (like you’d get at JL)....

Dunelm? Luxury! Half my stuff has been bought second hand from gumtree ads.

Second hand? from gumtree? Luxury! You were lucky to have furniture. We sat on piles of newspaper and boxes - and not even good ones!

But you know, we were happy in those days, though we were poor.
