I second the advice to take a refund and book with TK on your own. Flying via FRA or MUC and long layovers is really not worth it when you can buy a reasonable direct flight. TK is great in Y

Quick update - flew back from IST to LHR via FRA with LH yesterday.
Also - managed to provide my Miles&More details at check-in (wasn't able to do it online as it was a 125 ticket) and despite being originally a BA Avios booking LH credited me the relevant Award Miles.
