Link thanks to florens, so others don't have to search the whole (now lengthy) thread.

Due to exposure on the BBC it looks like the company was swamped with a deluge of orders far greater than they expected, so some deliveries are taking a while to ship.
Many people have received their deliveries, so it looks like if you have a confirmation email for your purchase it should eventually be fulfilled.

On 1st Dec 2020 Whatabuy sent an email to all customers to say
Please be assured that if you received a 'confirmation of order' screen at the end of your transaction, we have a record of your purchase and are working on processing this, even if you did not receive a confirmation email.

On 9th Dec 2020 Whatabuy sent an email to customers to say
Please be assured that we are doing our upmost to fulfil all orders as quickly as possible, with all orders placed between the 23rd and 27th of November due to be shipped by Monday 14th December and all orders placed between the 28th November and 7th December due to be shipped by Monday 21st December.

Sounds good news for those that got in quick on the plates. Shame no teapots (bizarrely doesn't sound like I was the only one looking for one of those...)

Yes, it's bizarre. Head for Points is getting almost 250 page views PER MINUTE from that article and we are not even directly linked. We are going to smash our all-time daily page views record by 6pm!

Being US West coast I missed many of the items, but ended up with the First Mugs.

Agree it is odd they didn't have teapots.

Been trying to order something for the last few hours but the site is constantly reporting "service unavailable" at the critical stage!!

Got some CW casserole dishes Which will genuinely come in handy for meals during the week / batch cooking and some serving trays. Bargain procing - they should have charged more. Shame it’s not an eStore partner to get Avios!

I wonder if they’ll do more of this type of sale going forward!

The site still appears to be down. I am stunned the BBC would resort to posting such a story on the front page of their website as a leading story. I wonder how much of his crap will just end up on eBay?

All I wanted was a set of the WTP dishes but appear to have missed out on the stock now though :-(

It’s slow, glitchy and temperamental (like most BA IT) but it is working if you persist.

There are still some First coasters, hot towel plates and charger plates plus half a dozen CW items in stock. Oh, and the WTP tea cups and the oven racks!
