As a regular First passenger, and someone very happy to fly BA, I’m not enamoured with the ‘evolved’ product. It’s not doors I’m interested in but space. This product appears too closed-in and looks like nothing more than the unimpressive B789 seat with a door.
The removal of the buddy seat is a huge downgrade for me.
It’s a firm thumbs-down from this traveler

bear in mind this is on the 777-300ER which is significantly wider than the 787

that’s what we’ve always said it’s been...the 787-9 seat with a door. I think this is the best iteration of first BA has ever done from a functionality point of view. It’s bigger than the current seat/more space much, more privacy, much larger bed area etc.

How is this even a first class seat? It resembles a J seat....anyway yeah it's their clubs suite XL
it is an improvement from the previous 777 F seat
do we know if they'll actually come up with a whole new seat altogether?

I can’t see it for several years now. Surely this will be the last “evolved” until an entirely new and not any time soon

Maybe BA didn’t want people choosing the new Club Suites (J) over F, if privacy of a door is a key to your flying demands. This seems like a interim, quicker install, cheaper(?) solution to avoid that, I hope that’s what it is.
A whole new F for the future is surely something to be addressed but not until we are truly passed this unstable CV19 stage of the pandemic and BA understand more about the new demands of passenger travel in a post-CV world. In the midst of this pandemic in the next year or so, doors separating your neighbours might be more physiologically welcome than we care to agree on.

Privacy in F, esp in a cabin of 8, is an absolute non issue with the old style seats.

More area around the seat, ability to buddy dine. I prefer 787-9 F on day flights, but A380 F on night flights.
