New 777 F Seat

Hi all,
Apologies if this has been posted already, but I thought the forum would be interested in knowing that some of the upcoming new BA 777s will be having a “new modified” F seat with a privacy door and 3 point seat belt. BA haven’t released any further details about this or if it’ll be retrofitted to other 777s nor have they released pictures (yet), but it’s official and not a rumour! It’ll be the “77H” that’ll have this modified F seat.

Literally no idea yet. I don’t even think BA Media Centre have created a press release about it yet nor have there been any other details revealed other than the privacy door and 3 point seat belt!

It's the 787-9 seat with a 3-point safety belt and a pair of doors.
8 seat cabin.

If it's a 77H (the new 777-300ER configuration), then it will be 8.

Does the introduction of a 3-point belt indicate the seat will be orientated differently? Or just improved safety standards?

We managed to get our hands on the email to staff: https://www.headforpoints.com/2020/0...or-in-october/

Not a whole lot of information, unfortunately, and BA PR haven't responded to our questions yet!

Interesting point about the "couldn't delay the delivery" of the aircraft in the email you guys have seen.

Is there any way to find out with 777 variant is on what flight? MMB only says 777. My 17th of October flight to BGI from LHR is a 777 with Club Suites and an 8 seat First cabin so would be interesting to see if this is the new aircraft.

There is a frisbee competition from the front galley. Players disqualified if a piece of cheese falls before reaching the right seat though...

It works both ways. You just toss it back when you have finished! Don't know how drinks will work though!

What is the difference between the B77L and B77H (apart from H having the new F seat), do they just to designate the new B77W’s arriving this autumn and it allows internal crew to know which has the new F and which doesn’t?

The easiest way ( for me) is to look at the J cabin. BGI would more than likely be -200ER.

The 77L is the new 3 class Club Suite configuration. So no F on that one

77L is the 3-class 777-200ER with Club Suite

77H is the 777-300ER in new config with Club Suite and "new" F
