I’m currently booked in the Hilton, but tempted by the Bristol. If you fancy it, I’d recommend booking a Virtuoso rate through an approved agent (Propeller Travel, for example), which will give you a space available upgrade, breakfast, early check in and late check out and a $100 F&B credit, all for the standard price. Definitely worth a look...

This is a good point to raise, but for those on the evening flight who don't have Marriott status note that the key point with Virtuoso is late check out is 'subject to availability' so can be denied by the hotel, whereas if you book at the same rate through Amex FHR you will get guaranteed 4pm check out regardless. Amex FHR is therefore preferable for those without at least Marriott Platinum status (which guarantees 4pm check out anyway). The Raffles Europejski Warsaw across from Hotel Bristol also looks great and is on both Virtuoso and FHR, but then I'm not about to sacrifice a suite upgrade.

Anyway, back to Hilton talk before I get kicked out of the thread ...

Added myself to Wiki as 'tentative' (hopefully did not break any rules as DIY).

I think one of the two Sunday rotations to WAW was culled today (I swear there were two when I looked yesterday?). Hopefully that’s it for now!

Been to WAW a few times in the past 6 weeks and BA are only flying once a day, swapping between the morning and afternoon rotations at the moment.

It’s a near-normal city at the moment (well, for summer). Went to the new Electrownia Powisle development on Tuesday eve - smart - before drinks on the ‘beach’. The rumours of a lockdown are growing, as growth in cases accelerated.

Isnt this the hotel that is taking several liberties by having ‘Warsaw’ in the name? I would say the Hilton was off-pitch enough as it is, but at least it’s a walk/lime scooter from the action!

The WAW “Bolero” non-schengen lounge is closed, so no Mexican perogi or salami quiche, but the lounge at the other end is, I believe, open.
