Who can tell?
You are correct it could be a flight that is currently just full, and availability may well open up when some people move their bookings (etc). Unlikely at the moment. But when all buckets are zeroed (not just some) then it can be the harbinger to a staged set of cancellations. But putting all buckets at zero then no more bookings will be taken, but the actual cancellation stage may come a few days later, since if the cancel vast numbers of flights then it just leads to the contact centres getting overwhelmed and even delays flight departures in some circumstances. So after a day or two - assuming the cancellation is confirmed - then you will either get an email + SMS and/or MMB will show the cancellation. This is standard practice and happened this way before the pandemic (e.g. for the Christmas revisions).

Yes - it still is - but here is the thing - the outbound to ALC is still being sold but the inbound is zeroed out. corporate-wage-slave - thank you. I admit myself somewhat perplexed - would you think that if this was cancelled we could ask to be sent via MAD?

Just to confirm...there is no way for BA to fly me from Toronto to Vancouver, correct. Able to hop skip and jump TLV to LHR to YYZ and then I suppose I am on my own coin.

GRU still looking like it'll be going up to daily? I'm surprised, figured they'd adjust down to a few per week like August.

Thanks for the response PUCCI GALORE - as a data point for reference I’ve had two lots of MAN - ALC cancelled over the past year and both allowed alternatives via Madrid. It involves 3 flights vs 1 which isn’t ideal but it gets us there. I know these are extraordinary times and I’m just an occasional flyer but it’s a data point for you that they’re prepared to do this.

Looking like the overnight layover flights LHR JER and first JER LHR rotations are cancelled.

Ah, you're quite correct! Somehow passed me by that the LHR ones are EI codeshares.

After having my LHR-ZAG and DBV-LHR flights canceled I managed to rebook to SPU and DBV for nearly the same dates (mid September). Do we think September flights are safe from cancelations now so I can book accommodation or wait another week?

Hi,

I would say the mid-september flights are probably reasonably safe ( but there have been reports of some flight cancellations within 2 weeks) but another week might be better. If possible I would try to ensure that the accomodation is refundable.

Regards

I’ve popped back as the zeroed out status has now gone normal This has changed over the last couple of days. It went from 1 seat in Y to now a normal loading of both cabins. Thus, my Love, I would say that what we were seeing was a full flight which I long suspected. So I would think that there is a very strong likelihood that your flight to ALC will operate.

Never seen a schedule like this before - on this coming Sunday 6th, BA has two departures to MXP at just 15 minutes apart. One is at 07:00 and the other is at 07:15 in the morning, a Y ticket on the 07:00 is £57 and the one 15 minutes later is £201. Not sure they are going to sell that many on the 07:15

Only explanation I can think of for those flights being just 15 minutes apart is one of them was probably going to LIN originally and has been re-scheduled for MXP instead.

Flight booked to Helsinki for Sat 26th...obviously can't go due to Finland entry restrictions
So needed to call to cancel
0800 number this morning at 10am cutting off

Redialed 0800 number at 7pm
was connected within a few minutes
All cancelled and refund promised to card within 10 days

The whole process from picking up phone was around 10 mins, including a pleasant conversation with a nice geordie lady.

So this could be a good time to call

MMB is now completely empty... Which is horrible

Looks like flights LHR to/from BAH for September have all been recently cancelled. Had to get rebooked on Gulf Air for 19 Sept.
