Saw her over Boscastle at about 1500 local time. Don’t think I will get any awards for the photo!

There is another this coming Friday.

G-CIVZ over Boscastle today

It depends whether there is capacity at DGX - I think they're full at the moment.

the only clip of it to my knowledge, shows both planes in view for the period of about 2 seconds.
There won't be any because the Concorde landings on October 24th 2003 were three aircraft landing one after the other on 27R. There was no parallel landing.

no, two concordes did a parallel landing sometime in the run up to retirement. It wasn’t the final day.

Looks like the usual locations are at capacity with the acceleration in aircraft retirements across Europe.
STS Aviation Groups scrapping compound at NQY is to be used to part out and dismantle the 747, however the work will be carried out by Ecube, the company BA have contracted to part out and dismantle the 747 fleet.

Ecube are using the STS scrapping compound due to Ecube’s facility at Kemble is at capacity and is unable to accommodate any more aircraft and there other 2 facilities at St Athan and Castellón are unable to accommodate all the remaining aircraft.

if there’s any substance to it above and beyond simple 2&2=75 who knows

Heard today that a further 3 aircraft are set to follow G-CIVZ to NQY over the next few weeks.

my pal had heard that because the LHR-NQY route was going so well, they were upgauging it to a 747 and that the arrival of VZ was the proof!!😂🤣😁.

Was it not one from Manchester as part of the tour and the BAW2?

I think it was OAG on Wednesday as BA9021 from MAN but cannot remember what was on the BA2. I think it was Wednesday 22nd October but could be wrong.

looks like it was AD.

interesting write up - BOAD was late leaving JFK due to the flight crew stuck in traffic. Without that it wouldn’t of been possible.

Forgive me if this has already been posted, but I missed it when it was first on tv.

This is a YouTube link to 30 min BBC film called “the virus that killed the jumbo”, which is probably available on iPlayer. Sad but enjoyable and some nice historic footage.

Please don’t lynch me for posting a Paul Stuart Video (he doesn’t speak once in it).

I think they’d get plenty of takers on here at that price! If I wasn’t in the US I’d be in for 2!

St Athan’s 1800m runway is going to look quite generous compared to where I think CIVW is going on Wednesday!
