They might stick around then? I used to love it when DO, DT or DY turned up on stand for the BMI services to/from BHD while they had the recliner seats up front.

BA today have positioned to aircraft that had operated flights OPO to NCL

G-EUYH - arrived as BA9252 at lunchtime
G-EUYB - arrived as BA9253 around 7pm.

They will be on the ground tonight along with G-EUYO which is being used to operate this weekends FAO flights.

Tomorrow a G-EUYY which is operating to FAO and OPO from MAN this weekend will also be flown to NCL around 9pm.

Does anyone know if this is for temporary storage as none of the the four aircraft registrations above are planned to operate any further flights after tomorrow night.

Not sure where you have got that info from, because they all have normal commercial NCL-LHR flights planned over the course of the coming week. So VERY short term storage at most, between 1 and 5 days.

Also forgot to add that GATK is coming back to LHR from MAD tomorrow and is planned for some domestic flying later in the week.

Does anybody know why G-VIIV is on its way from TEV to AUH as BA9172? Maintenance, or just positioning? IINM, it’s one of the LGW four class aircraft.

Or perhaps going to be used by Qatar Airways to cover the fleet shortages caused by the A350 paint dispute?

If BA aren’t using it, QR might as well do so instead of reactivating more A380’s which they don’t seem keen on doing.

Not doubting the source but that's quite curious.

Surely it costs a fair amount to move a plane that has been in long term storage for 6 months, only to prep it again for further storage.

If the costs of keeping it at TEV have increased, I would assume VIIW would follow in due course as well as the remaining 380s?

G-MEDK just landed at BCN under flight number BA9252 (usually used for LHR-LGW-LHR positioning flights) and parked in a very remote part of the airfield, so I would assume that is for storage until March.

Probably worth an update to the WIKI given most B777's are back in service, so it is mainly the A32X CEO family which are now stored.

I was at the City of Norwich Aviation Museum yesterday and spotted G-LCYP seemingly practicing go arounds at NWI. On my way back into Norwich, I drove slowly past the NWI and spotted at least 3 BA planes still parked there.

Looking at FR24, I must have been seeing this particular flight: https://www.flightradar24.com/data/a...-lcyp#2aa83c81 although I must admit, I am not really sure what is going on with G-LCYP, it seems to have done a pretty random weekend excursion from London to Norwich with some sightseeing whilst there!

There are quite a few in storage at NWI. More details here in the Wiki BA Fleet Status
