WikiPost currently includes info on China inc Hong Kong, Singapore and Italy. As and when new/updated information becomes available, we would welcome your input in updating it.
Information resources (e.g. links of entry restrictions/quarantine requirements) are provided at the bottom of Wiki.

29 Feb 2020: List of routes with cancellations from 13 March to 28 March: PKX, PVG, HKG, SIN, LIN, ICN, VRN, BGY, BLQ, TRN, VCE.
(
In the case of PKX and PVG there are no services, for the other locations it's up to 50% of services.)

BA Book with Confidence Policy
BA have instigated a policy of bookings made on or after 3 March 2020 with zero change fees. Initially this policy will expire end of 31 16 March 2020. Details can be found in this thread: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/brit...ce-policy.html
Note.. despite the official start date of 3 March for this policy, at least one FT-er has advised that a booking on 2 March also attracted zero change fees.
BA has now expanded the book with confidence policy to expire 31 March 2020. Starting date of 3 March 2020 is unchanged.
China inc HKG
BA have cancelled all flights to PKX (Beijing/Peking) and PVG (Shanghai Pu Dong) "until 19 April 2020".

BA frequency to HKG has been reduced with effect from 13 February 2020 - see below for further details. From HKG, Cathay is running a heavily reduced schedule to mainland destinations until the end of March.

If you are due to fly to PKX, PVG and your flight is cancelled then you have refund, re-route and rebook options. BA can rebook on to several other airlines.
If you are due to fly to Hong Kong until 1st April you have refund and rebook options.
If you are transiting into mainland China you are also covered as above.
If you are transiting internationally (e.g. LHR-HKG-SYD) you are not able to move your flights, unless they are cancelled anyway.
The latest ba.com update was on 21 February 2020 at 1510.

My 2 cents here.

Had a companion voucher expiring in 2 days and BA extended it by 12 months. A very kind gesture IMO and very much appreciated.

My friend is concerned that if they get themselves to France, and people know they have been in Italy, are they likely to be refused permission to board? ALso, is it likely that once the dust has settled, some repatriation missions might be arranged? and maybe it's better to just sit tight for a couple of days?

Thanks in anticipation for any thoughts CF
nope no issue in terms of boarding with us having been to Italy or wouldn't be offering as option

My US conference just been cancelled. Im going to be sooo out of pocket now. Registration fee should be ok, hotel refundable (just in time) but BA F flight perhaps not covered in my extended insurance and flight was a sale fare. Booked in Dec so not sure why those who more aware are getting flexibility than those like me who were oblivious back then when booking.

I was in a similar situation. When I cancelled I got the cost of the fare back to be applied for another flight. I will have to pay the 'change fee' - in my case the fee is covered by insurance. I have a year from booking my original flight to rebook a ticket (in my case until December).

However I think it turned out that your ticket had a USA Point of Sale, which typically gives a retained value for future travel. A UK PoS would be different.

Similar here. But EU business trip cancelled that I booked in J fare sale. BA's response has been no refund at all and no change permitted since its not directly impacted city in Italy. They also take any discounts into account before refund (so they claim I would have gotten a $500 refund off a $2K ticket, but since sale was more than $500 that I get $0 back). I'll wait it out to see if they make things a bit easier as time progresses since its likely only a matter of time before the LHR connection gets canceled.

Is there any way to check the POS on a ticket? I have an AA ticket, ex-EU, which I paid in USD (if it has any bearing). It was straight from Matrix to the AA US website so I may be lucky?

OMG yes. And the agents have been SO rude. I will actively avoid BA from now on forever from the bad taste in my mouth about the way they have handled this. We almost never travel internationally and they are so casual, oh just come like a month later. UMMMM we are both working professionals, we have kids in school and our flights are 12+ hours. It's not a hop like a Southwest flight. What a joke.

Probability of BA cancelling flights to Germany within 14 day notice period?
I have an ex-EU departure which I need to protect.
I would hope that BA would not cancel within 24 hours of flight departure, but I suppose anything is possible.

Flight tonight from ARN had less than 35 people onboard. Can't seriously see BA continuing to fly it short term if it remains that quiet TBH. It's almost sad to see it so quiet.

Hi,

I will be on a UA Polaris fly (IAD-TLV) and the return is on BA ( BA0639 and BA0293 ) back to IAD .

The trip will be cancel due to Israel 14 days quarantine that start today and even that the trip start 4/14: I do not think it will improve ... thing are getting worse day by day.

Is there a recourse ( any kind of refund, credit for tax, ) on the BA fare ?

Agents on the US BA "Gold" CS line have until now been adamant that in addition to the change fee existing (so far) for tickets purchased before early March, any fare difference would be added but not substracted in case the new fare was below the old one. The policy of course can change, I personally believe that it will as other airlines become more flexible by the day. Time will tell.

I must admit that I am not at all impressed at the way BA are handling this. I will be reviewing whether I use BA in future that is certain.

Just how late can I cancel or make a change to another day?
