'Space available' upgrade not applied 30 hours before - worth following up?

I first wrote about getting a 'space available' upgrade back in March 'Space available upgrade' offered - best way to use it?

I tried using it both out, and then back, for LHR-DEL, but it didn't get applied either way.

I asked last week for it to be applied for our LHR->KUL flight tomorrow evening, but still haven't heard anything.

Wondering if the staff that can apply this only work weekdays, and thus if it's worth chasing up today?

We have a economy reward flight, so looking for Premium Econ. - I have Gold status, so not sure if that helps with upgrade potential as well.

Does the 'W2' mean there's currently 2 available in premium?

no, it means they're willing to sell 2 seats in premium, there might not actually be availability, they're just willing to do the upgrade shuffle and hope a few people dont turn up

thanks - so it’s an upper-bound on availability. There’d be 2 or fewer.

Update - looks like it’s just been applied! Fingers crossed it stays that way.
