Excluding that, and assuming that the BA15 is still served by a 77W, and assuming that the refurbishments and deliveries still take place with the same pace as they did before Covid, by the end of the year you'd have a 1-in-2.6 chances of having a CS 777 on your route and a certainty by August 2021. But there's way too many unknowns yet.

Considering that QF (who might have some insider knowledge) aren't planning to fly internationally until March 2021... I'd say it'll be a while before the Kangaroo route returns.

Neither in my view. BA15 is not yet operative and even if it was there are 12 77Ws (soon to be 16). They can cover more than just those routes mentioned earlier. And if they can’t, there are 77Es and 787s aplenty.

We are booked on LHR-MLE-LHR both Oct 2020 and Nov 2020. The flight got changed to the 777-300ER (24 rows in Club) about a week ago. Unfortunately at least some of the segments are likely to be canceled. Open booking classes are reduced to expensive buckets with just a few seats taken (e.g. 11 seats total on 10/28). If these flights actually happen I'll make sure to snap lots of photos.
