Just wanted to share that I did indeed manage to have Club Suites on BA11/BA12 to Singapore and back, what a fantastic product. Despite being from the UK it was actually my first time flying BA long-haul, and I was definitely impressed. The forward section of 3 rows (rows 5-7) is definitely the best spot, it's so quiet and exclusive compared to behind the galley which is Club Suites for as far as the eye can see!

With thanks to posters in this thread and the 777 specific one, I had two extremely comfortable flights to NY and back in the mini cabin. As my first long haul experience 5A and 5K were perfect seats, and you really are in your own little cocoon. Window placement is absolutely spot on too.

I've been put in old J on my ATL-LHR flight on 2/16. When I booked, it was new suites. What are the odds it gets swapped back?

Good to hear - 4 of us travelling to SIN have 5 & 6 E/F .. just hope we don't get swapped out, I have terrible luck which means I still haven't flown BA CS or QR QSuites.

have they swapped your aircraft to a 787-8/9?

Your plane is (currently) scheduled to be operated by one of the three Gatwick Orphans which are now based at LHR. These 4-class aircraft are the only 3 CW style B777-200ER’s left at LHR. They unfortunately appear to be relegated to non-prime Cities which are still served by F (Atlanta had F taken away but then brought back and has seen these 3 aircraft quite a bit). They did have a cabin refresh in 2018/19 and with 14 F seats - you are more likely to see reward availability in F become available. A lot can happen between now and February, so just keep an eye on the seat map.

BA285 LHR-SFO today - booked CS but equipment change to G-STBC, one of only 3 unconverted 777s at this stage. I found out when the barrier flashed red at boarding - was upgraded to F - I guess because there are more F seats and fewer J. So that's a win.

To be honest, the outbound flight was CS and I was quite unimpressed. None of the suite doors work, the bed was uncomfortable (loose in the centre section) and the pillow like sleeping on a bag of potatoes. Layout is better than CW but the quality & durability of the refurbished seats seems lower than the previous generation.

Is it possible that they were still in the locked position?

Heading for Portland in June, back early July, WT+ out CW back, on the way out Rows 20-24 are WT+, a/c type looks like a 77M according to Aero Lopa, Rows 1 + 2 1st, Rows 5-17 CW Suites, but on the return it looks like a 77L with CW Suites Rows 1-14?

Thanks for this info - pity they stretch so far out into 2024 given the B787 CS refurb has been pushed into 2024 as well. Perhaps seat availability issues vs BA’s preferred timelines.

STBC refurbish in May! Wow that’s a while, wonder what the reason is. Thought they’d wanted the 77Ws done before the 788s start.
