Basically the title. Today’s flight if at all ambiguous.

Thanks.

I can see it pushed back 12 minutes late and is taxiing out now and showing 70 minutes late into DXB, I’m guessing it must be an ATC delay?

Yes that was my thought process too. initially told it would be on stand for another 90 mins. Clearly they changed that to hold somewhere else at LHR. Thanks though.

Yesterday's flight was also over an hour late.
It could have to do with a nofly Iranian airspace. The airspace south of Iran is getting very crowded.

I was on the 107 yesterday. The pilot reported it was initially delayed due to late inbound from NYC and then ATC delay due to congestion over Europe.

I'd guess the Iran restrictions are causing some headaches.

Lots of nasty weather brewing up over Europe today also.

This is a screen shot of lightning just now..

Was on BA109 last night and we landed bang on time, despite leaving 25mins late - so its definitely not due to anything Iranian.

Not routing wise for sure. But the extra traffic in the normal routing through Iraq/Qatar due to Iran closure may have impacted the ATC slot delay, or it could have been Europe but was confirmed to be busy ATC as the factor. Whether nearby to Iran or Europe I’m not sure.
