Proper British back bacon please, non of the US style streaky rubbish, which is all fat snd no meat.

Not necessarily! It depends where you get it from. Our local supermarket has upped its game recently and their bacon is now a lot leaner than it used to be. Sprouts also has some decent bacon. That said, we have had some where I struggled to find any lean meat amongst the fat.

Bacon needs to be dry cured but even when this type of preparation is sold to you, it often leaks that white stuff.

The BA lounge bacon roll is rubbish.

Insipid, fatty bacon.

Who’s up for some customer lobbying for crispier bacon? If it’s possible to routinely cook a fillet of beef to within an inch of its life....

Count me in. I can enjoy almost all bacon, whilst I prefer crispy, and can take fatty too. But BA slimy - NO!

Fix it or replace it with something else.

Agreed, but again that’s probably at the far end of the bell-curve. Sadly, BA caters for the majority who like over-cooked steaks and barely-cooked bacon without exotic additions,
What is exotic about black pudding?

I prefer medium done back bacon to streaky, but if it has to be streaky then most of the fat should be grilled out of it.

But what I would really like would be the return of the full breakfast that was served between GLA and LHR, back in the days when gthe ride was on a Vanguard.

I've found them to be pretty sad indeed. That in-flight bacon can't be perfect, I understand, but in the lounges there are no excuses!

Which one?

I'm always amused by the americanism of "Canadian bacon". Typical bacon in Canada is streaky bacon, the same as in the USA. If you go to a grocery store in Canada and look for "Canadian bacon" you won't find any such thing. There is back bacon, which is sort of like the leanest part of UK bacon, and a few specialist butchers cut UK style bacon, but it is very expensive.

In MAN there seems to be no bacon roll option in the BA lounge, so I go the T3 Escape lounge for a perfect bacon bap then return to the quieter BA lounge and perhaps some fizz. If a priority pass lounge can offer a good quality bacon sandwich I don't understand why BA can't (even when it is available).

Skimming the forum, and the capitalisation of the thread title subconsciously made me think of sheep rather than pigs... I can’t be the only one? :D

Isn't the white stuff emulsified water? It seems to be typical of cheap supermarket bacon.

I’ll have crispy or well done bacon please 🙋🏼.♂️

In flight bacon is undercooked IMO.

I was referring to both. I find the lounge bacon almost as bad as the in flight.

Unfortunately the best bacon rolls are at LBA, it’s insufficient BA flight that is the problem there.

No bacon rolls in the NCL lounge either. The ultimate evidence of London Airways.

Don't you have to make up your own breakfast roll in the new LBA lounge?

It is emulsified something. Waitrose is such a rubbish supermarket but sometime I am force to top up the pantry there if it’s the housekeeper’s day off.
