Great pic. They could have given you an afternoon tea on the house to make up for the inconvenience.

Great pic there is a nice restaurant over on the bank which I would highly recommend,

it be could have seen this amazing site (which I’m assured the navigator checker the tides for multiple times to ensure sufficient height for the air-drought

Maybe the pilot was gathering material for his Instagram?

I fear this reference might not resonate with many of our international FTers (unless particularly well versed in Scottish regional stereotypes). Rest assured, however, that if you divert to GLA a warm welcome and full tea ought to be provided

No. Afternoon tea anywhere (on land) in Scotland will get you a hot beverage. The poster is referring to another thread and not any animosity between Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Thank you for this. Some of my family are not well enough to travel , up north, this year. I miss seeing the three bridges. We then go and have lunch at THe Hawes Inn.

Who says, Scotland is always raining and cloudy. We always found the weather this next two weeks great..

Been lucky enough to have been on this fine vessel (though only in dry dock, before she was fitted out). She is a BIG ship. Scrub that, she's gigantic!. Four acres of British sovereign territory on the sea. If they tried I think they could launch the Baby Bus from the flight deck...

And they have to lower the radio mast to get her under the bridge!

Could see a KLM that appeared to have stalled its take off but the driver said he hadn't aligned it properly.

IIRC my last go-around on a BA flight was also caused by a KLM flight at GLA.
