BA NEW CLUB SUITE, WILL I GET IT?
What with the arrival of BA's biggest change in business class for some decades, this thread is intended to ask the inevitable question that I am sure many will want to know the answer to, something along the lines of "I am travelling on XX Jan 2036 from Heathrow to Sydney, will I get the new business class seat?"
Please do ask if you are not sure if your flight will fly the seat or not, its safe to say the more info you provide the more accurate the answer will be.
Aircraft involved: A350-1000XWB (also known as A351 and A350-1000), B787-10 (also known as B781) and a limited number of B777-200ER (B772).

Am I correct in assuming that right now all of the seat maps for the winter timetable are just the old configurations and that we'll get more information on what's likely to be Club Suite when the clocks go forward? I'm doing an ORD run on a 777 in November and was just looking at the current seat maps for JFK in December, everything's currently the non-CS layout.

I don't have any information on how BA plans to do this, but my guess is that this may happen during "schedule change season" when the northern winter 2020/21 schedules start to become firmer. That process may not start until late spring.

I am booking a flight yo New York in October.
The wiki says ...
(NEW YORK) JOHN F KENNEDY JFK ~ started 09 Oct. 2019
BA175/116 05SEP20 / 03OCT20 / 10OCT20 / 19OCT20 – 24OCT20
BA173/112 01AUG20 – 24OCT20
BA115/176 02SEP20 – 23OCT20 (Day x6)
BA113/114 16OCT20 / 17OCT20
Which I don't follow as the heading says started 9 Oct 2019, but then lists flights that dont commence until Aug 2020 at the earliest, and for example the BA175 is on some very specific dates only.
Can anyone clarify please.
The only way I can find to see if it is the new seat is to do a dummy booking, and proceed to seat selection. Is there a better way?
The other option is just go on AA - at least the seat is guaranteed!
Thank you

Ah ok, how are you checking that, just using the seat map on BA? Im assuming if its showing forward facing only, 1-2-1 on a 777 then it should be CS?
Im on BA115 and BA176 in June and they both currently show as above, so really hoping so!

Looking at this thread just highlights how completely out the window this plan is now. Also the mammoth effort BA will have to take as restrictions start to lift in order to re-allocate aircraft to routes given the wildly different demand (cargo and passengers).

I understand that BA have deferred some orders for new aircraft, but not seen anything about the Club Suite Rollout. You would have thought that this was a good time to accelerate the upgrade but I guess with social distancing this may not be possible. BA do have cash reserves but will they plead poverty and suspend they rollout, but you could also ask can they afford not to rollout given the fierce competition that there is likely to be for a smaller pool of business customers in the new world...

I would hazard a guess that BA management have looked or are looking at any and all costs.
If a cost is not essential or could impact the immediate future then it will be on hold whilst they ride out a lockdown.
I guess CS refurb is one of these costs, having said all that, there were aircraft going to Cardiff for their planned checks/refit as per the other thread so it maybe that the plan is still ongoing. Others may know more and probably a question for that thread.
It could also be that BA have already forked out for the refurbs and plans are cemented or cannot be changed due to supply chains etc. Therefore CS roll out could continue.
In essence...I have no idea but its helped me kill 5 mins replying and its at least interesting to chat about.
