If I recall the OMAT article correctly I believe BA is including a DL sized card in the seat pockets explaining the provenance of the livery, but nothing of any real consequence.

Probably but let's say for instance the next time you are in a lounge or on board a flight and you are getting naff food or drink or the bathroom facilities show poor hygiene. I know where I would have liked to have seen that money spent.

With the major marketing campaign around BA100, I would hypothesise that the extra money to repaint the retro liveries versus painting them in the normal paint scheme would have come out of the marketing budget, rather than the aircraft cleaning budget or inflight catering budget.
The buzz and hype around the retro liveries and increased brand exposure as a result probably justifies the money spent.

From what has been mentioned elsewhere, the 4 aircraft being painted in retro liveries were all due a visit to the paint shop this year as part of the normal repainting process.

Surely they will be routing it through MIA. Someone needs to post...
Flew in from Miami Beach BOAC
Didn't get to bed last night
Oh, the way the paper bag was on my knee
Man, I had a dreadful flight

On the BOAC 747, what's the white circle just behind the G-BYGC registration on each side? I'm guessing it's the Royal Mail logo of the time, but I haven't been able to find a picture that has it clearly.
