I too thought the speedjack scheme would be done seeing as that and the 747 BOAC scheme were the final ones before the merger. Perhaps they didn't want two similar cheatlines?

Airbus build/test registration - the same as for new aircraft now.

For example, BA's first four 380s wore these build/test registrations before delivery:-

Does anyone know how BA is scheduling the routes for G-BYGC?
I'm on BA66 PHL-LHR on the 27th of March.

Thx

The flights for today and tomorrow have already changed several times in the last 24-36 hours, so I doubt that it will be possible to predict something that's over a month away.

Save repainting the aircraft, perhaps they could just make a case for retro-uniforms? (One of my enduring boyhood memories flying British Caledonian was the attractive cabin crew in tartan mini-skirts...)

Not very P-C now a days I know!

Thought I’d drop these pictures in to the thread - a nice surprise as we prepared to take off from LHR for CDG at 12:00 on Wednesday.

That set my OCD off big style too. Speedmarque always points forward if it's on an aircraft fuselage, as it just looks plain daft when it isn't.

Probably too late to fix for all the others now. The templates will have been cut.

Was thinking of trying to catch the jumbo tomorrow departing for LAX

Will probably be departing 09R

Any aficionados know a good spot for 09R

Is Terminal 5 drop off going to be the best?

I presume from the 27 end the beast will be too high ?

I can't add much to this, I have to follow the news as it happens here too. But even if it doesn't go to PHL for you, it's possible you will see it in LHR on arrival. If you're on it, you can't see it!

Welcome to Flyertalk and welcome to the BA forum Swobo, it would be great to hear more from you in the future.

As it happens, I just happened to look up from my tablet in the CX lounge and saw this aircraft taking off. I have to be honest and say that, not being an aviation geek, it wouldn't even have registered as unusual had I not just seen the photos in this thread.

I was thinking - BA are supposedly getting new uniforms later this year. Perhaps they should be dark blue, and complemented with golden boots? They would stand out in the terminals and share a bit of swinging London nostalgia.
