These deals look like they might also be available ex LBA as well although you will of course pay £173 APD (I found £1,288 to LAS and £1,273 to LAX).

Karfa. Thank for this. I have reserved INV-SFO/LAS-INV on AA for £1058 each. I have them on 24 hour hold until tomorrow. Am I safe leaving it to then or will it go up as today is the 7th?

What do you think?

It seems the usual 2 connections are permitted free so something like INV-LHR-JFK-PHX-LAS should be fine.

Needs to be ticketed today for sale pricing - a hold won't keep the price

Im not disagreeing with this (I have no idea what would happen) - but it seems a bit crazy that a hold would change price after the fare booking deadline passes. I understood holds to be alternatives to the requirement to allow cancelations within 24 hours of booking.

A hold just holds seats in certain fare buckets - when it comes to ticketing it will price with whatever is available then

Yes - if booking BA codeshares you'll get slightly more Avios but most of these flights I find book on the AA flight number.

Well that's odd - I was having a play around and used my original trip as a baseline, the price dropped by £100 per person, so cancelled my original booking and rebooked.....

TP are always the same. Avios depends on metal and flight number. BA codes earns always more than AA codes. In comparison AY codes earn very little.

I had been watching the fares for an INV-LHR-BOS-LAX and over the weekend they went down by just over £200 each. Inverness is good for us so we have plumped for our summer hols in SoCal. We chose to go via Boston as it was cheaper and on the way back it lets us try the daytime flight which we have not managed yet. The 640 TPs will take care of the silver renewals. The price dropped to £949 each, pretty good for us. We will position via the car !

I’m looking to book something similar now - INV-LAS for 640TP at £959. However an infant (in seat) is pricing the same as a child ticket - brings the total price up. Does anyone know if AA offer similar 10% booking fee for infants as BA. Seems both infant and child prices up approx 75%.

Just realised that is a infant in seat rate. Can’t seem to book infant on lap online...

We are looking at this tonight and debating pulling the trigger. Can anyone advise on hotels in INV? We would likely try and get the earliest flight out the next morning (coming up from London). Is that an extra pain or is a B2B preferable?
