£100 off Longhaul Y for 5,000 Avios - this weekend only

Email just received quite generous and decent for a short longhaul that you could survive in Y

To say thank you for being a Member of the Executive Club, we wanted to let you know about a ‘Gift Box’ you could open.

You may already know that your Avios can reduce the price of British Airways flights, with Avios part payment. Well, for this weekend, Members can exchange just 5000 Avios for £100 off any long haul return flight in World Traveller (economy).

We didn’t want you to miss out, so this weekend, when you purchase Avios, we’ll give you an extra 50% Avios; making it easier for you to top up your balance and take advantage of this offer.

So why not join our other Members this weekend and open your Gift Box today? Hurry – this offer expires midnight 22 October 2018.

Just as an extension to this, the offer also will add 50% extra avios to any avios purchased, which means you can purchase avios at a favourable rate of 1.1 p/avios (e.g 30000 + 15000 avios for £495)!

May well invest in some avios for that price.

Doesn't seem to be, I'm looking in the app and it comes up automatically for me, despite not getting the email.

In relation to buying avios, I think the promotion is restricted to UK residents.

For those eligible, the buy avios page on the BA website should automatically show the extra 50% avios being added as part of any purchase (e.g. if you want to buy 30,000 avios, the page says 30,000 + 15,000).

I didn't get the email but I do see text promoting it when doing a booking, but as far as I can see no way to actually select the offer.....
