EDI - Ham and Cheese Croissant as a new addition

I’m sitting in the EDI Galleries lounge and they have ham and cheese croissants as a new, warm breakfast option.

I was delighted for a second until I realised it's "EDI - Ham" not "EDI - HAM" - wishful thinking with London Airways

I spent last 12 years in Amsterdam buying Cheese+Ham croisants at Albert Heijn (NL Supermarket Chain ) as my traveling snacks. All for these to eat in our airport lounges, though chese+ham panini's would be nicer

Often make myself a chese+roll (or two) in the BA Amsterdam lounge too.

My heart bleeds every time I see people warming/heating croissants! One of those heresies alongside people who put potatoes, beans or rice in a salade nicoise, "chargrilled sashimi", and cream in carbonara...

Pedantic purist rant over!

Ooh let's hope they start this in ABZ too. Never understood the reason behind not being able to provide a bacon roll or something similar in the mornings.

Oh I know....I once came over all giddy when a chippy in Leith put sauce on my chips.

What would FT be without a pedantic purist rant? As you are, squire!

Well, I have no objection to a ‘pedantic purist rant’ but am unsure of one that is ‘pedatic’.

Those croissants are a thing of beauty in a world of dried up bacon rolls.

I will just link this thread in to the other use of the warming cabinet later in the day.
