Wiki started to track the FTers who have taken up the CPT companion fare for the purpose of potential meet-up / DO in CPT where there is an overlap with FTers.

Cape Town is one of my favourite places in the world. update and encourage others to suggest places/bars/restaurants they love.

Another booking for the wiki:

15/03 - LHR - CPT - BA59 - 5EF - bakera + 1 (I know, not the best seats, but I'm a lowly Blue)
22/03 - CPT - JNB - LHR - BA6412/BA56 - 2AC/3EF - bakera + 1 (looks like srbrenna bet me to the last direct flights home on this day at the special price, so we're having to transit via JNB)

See you on the flight! Or in the lounge.

Mrs srbrenna wanted to transit through JNB as she likes the A380 but it was one of the few times I overruled her!

You need to decide what you want to do, apart from eat & drink while soaking up the views. E.g. Robben Island/Table Mountain, Cape Point, Camps Bay, some of the winelands etc.

In Franschhoek, there is the wine tram, that runs to several vineyards, so you can do a wine tasting at every venue, have lunch along the way. I'd recommend the Orange Line, the gardens at Babylonstoren are lovely, and Greenhouse for light snack or light lunch works well, then call in at Alle Bleu for a very nice Pinotage and Shiraz, and their Fortified Red Wine (Port) is very nice

Wine Route And Wine Farm Tasting Tours Stellenbosch Cape Town

Don't attempt to do any of the Garden Route in 7-days, as you'll end up in a car all the time, and SA distances are as the crow flies, not as the roads go!!!
