What a nice day to fly with BA

780 empty. 5 of us in club. Y looked deserted.
Food tasty. Crew friendly.

Arrived at a remote C-gate. That’s cool, quicker than the train.
Dedicated bus for Club pax. Beautiful evening.

Now, as we drive around C gates one gets great views of the wide bodies.
G-CIVY is just taxing out, a jumbo I’ve flown on many times, last in February.
I think to myself, all that is missing is STBF parked somewhere. And blimey, she’s standing just by the tunnel. (I delivered STBF back in 2012 from Everett).

Immigration - empty.

Gosh, even the useless UBER (app says 8 minutes, took 21 and cancel after two minutes costs £10!) couldn’t ruin my mood.

What a lovely post! As an aside (and you probably know this) if you ever need to cancel because the time advertised differs from the realised time then cancel, complain and Uber almost always immediately refund the fee.

Was on a similar flight back from CTU just before they curtailed it. A great experience.

You should be able to get those £10 back.
I have had very little luck with Uber from heathrow lately and have had to cancel very often as it was obvious the driver was not getting anywhere.

Not for my friend whose flight from EWR-Orly was cancelled, had to drive like crazy to JFK, where they put her on an Iberia flight.... had to run through airports. A huge mess....

Not for my kiddo who got an email saying her flight is delayed by 2 hrs.... had the worst customer serve ever, and no plane in sight. Glad that I delayed our flight from Paris, one can't count on BA anymore.

What is going on with the supposedly "premium" airline?

Welcome back I had liked the original post from Petrus so hadn't mentioned that my 6th June transiting through LHR was also an unpleasant experience - one of the worst I have had with BA - and an arrival some 5 hours late in the end But I am glad someone was having such a good day
