For some of us grey beard nerds, we don’t need a Morse translator. -.-. --.- / -.. . / --. -.... .-.. ...- -...

Also handy for identing those navaids, as you do.

I tried those Suppositories once, but for all the good they done I might as well have stuck them up my arse!

I had a vague plan for a website that recreated airline meals through the ages, but it’s surprisingly difficult to find details of them. Would be fun though.

Interesting. It says "Payment may be made in Sterling notes".

The use of the word "notes" seems to specifically exclude coins, so does this mean that no change was given and you had to make an overpayment even if you had the exact amount? Or accept some fruit juices (15p) as change.

In 1981 pound notes were still in use so it wouldn't be that bad. (The Isle of Man 50p which qualifies as Sterling was still in use too.)

Also travellers cheques. I have never seen or used them - did they come in amounts small enough to be usable for these BOB items?

I like the prices of 1/2 L spirits - and the 1/2 flask.

What an Inflation Indicator!

Couple of wonderful pieces of ephemera on Ebay at the moment:

- inflight instructions to passengers, the description of the lifejackets is wonderful https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Imperial-...IAAOSwlzZbAXZH

- seat maps for the fleet in 1932. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IMPERIAL-...oAAOSwWEdd4~9H
