Pretty sure with taxes etc that BA charge there isn't much difference with the cash fares in some cases!

GIG-LHR and GRU-LHR should be decent value.

Just cancelled and rebooked MLE-LGW at Christmas. It's the only time i've ever used avios in Y as One way (what we needed) cash prices in all classes were high.

Luckily, there was still avios availability for the 4 of us. 50,000 avios returned for 170 euro in cancellation fees, so not a bad deal in our case.

Very much depends where you start your journey from.

EZE-LHR-GLA return is 22,750 Avios plus £469.87 in November. Cash fares are well over the £1K mark. Unless I was guaranteed to get a decent seat on the EZE-LHR sector even the thought of a Blue Lagoon fish supper waiting for me at the other end wouldn't see me rushing to redeem.

I booked the last reward WT seat last week. Do you know if it is possible to rebook for the avios discount without losing the seat?

LHR/JFK peak is £370 and 20k avios.

MAN/LHR/JFK is £325 and 20k avios.

INV/LHR/JFK is £250 and 20k avios.

or

INV/LHR/JFK is £283 with no avios, but earns 50 TPs and a minimum of 1970 Avios for a blue member, rising to just under 10k avios for a gold member.

If more reward seats have been released you can cancel and rebook. You will have to pay the admin fee for this. Don’t cancel without having another seat secured.

Good to see that despite what the T&C's indicate, this also includes regional departures.

I am assuming 2-4-1s are excluded under 'doesn't work with any other offer'? Don't have one to test with.

Just tried. It doesn’t. Wanted 40k avios for LHR/JFK peak using 241.

Just booked HKG - LHR on A380 in mid september,
9750 Avios / 35 EUR.

Shouldn't be too bad on the upper deck.

I mean, considering they are flexible tickets, if that matters, it can be a pretty good deal.

I've been planning on using my trip to Australia to get me over the line for Silver next year, but it won't happen if I use this offer. I'm looking at around £500 plus 50,000 for a return to SYD. Not even sure it's worth it anyway as I can get Y on another OW carrier for well under £1000. And I was considering going WT+ anyway or J on an ex-EU fare.
