Could be one expensive bill for BA should anything affect our flights that EU261 covers, not to mention the bar bill in the CX/QF/AA lounges.

The hotel is definitely going to be interesting..

It has happened before, an Edinburgh do where BA had a hydrolic leak at the holding point. All back to the terminal for an aircraft change, just made the do following a taxi rush from EDI. The flight was delayed 3hrs 03 minutes and BA paid up without a fuss. The flyertalkers on board made sure everybody knew to claim.

Although on returning from PHX the planned aircraft for LHr/OTP wentbtech. bA were going to cancel until they realised who was on board. They managed to find a replacement much to the disappointment of some FTers

On a single ticket with luggage tagged to the final destination you wouldn't need to clear customs (like you do in the US/Canada at the port of entry).

If HBO you can use flight connections and just clear security. If you need to collect your boarding pass, there are airline desks for BA/AA before security and other airlines after security. After security go through "express connections" to get to lounges quicker, avoiding duty free shops.

If you go in the museum you can get into the tunnels in the part of the rock overlooking airport. Good pictures to be had out of the gun holes (I forget the posh name).

Best bet for view of the runway and planes is to go to Princess Caroline's Battery just up from the Moorish Castle, or a bit further up outside the Great Siege Tunnels. You could indeed get a picture from one of the openings inside the latter too. Easiest way to get there is the No 1 bus from Market Place (main bus terminus in town) to the last stop. You'll need to pay a small amount to enter the Upper Rock Reserve up the road by the Moorish Castle. The longer route is indeed to do the cable car and then take the road down to the battery; it is a fair walk but with some great views on the way. There aren't that many flights into/from Gib so you'll have to get info on timings for that day.

And again another room taken in the HIX too.

Can someone please add me to the wiki.
Thanks.

My booking confirmation somehow got lost between funny talks about mankinis, fully booked hotels and free drinks.

Hence this second attempt: can someone please add me to the wiki?

Thanks :-)

Why can you save up to £60.00? I can only save up to £50.00 (when paying with Avios)

No idea. That's £60 for 10,000 Avios though, Pretty poor value IMHO.
